Sourcing top talent for your company is an art and a science. Be intentional about who you reach out to, what you say to them, and tracking the process.
Referrals are the low-hanging fruit of recruiting. Continually ask your network for leads, and certainly your employees.
VC network - VCs are invaluable partners. If your VCs have talent partners, meet them regularly for coffee.
LinkedIn - Upgrade your account for search filtering features. We use Recruiter Lite paired with advanced sourcing tools for searching, emailing and reporting. LinkedIn Recruiter is better if you intend to send a high volume of inMails (instead of emails).
**Github'**s a platform where you can identify engineers with specific coding skills by reviewing their contributions to open source projects.
<aside> 💡 Countless top talented engineers are NOT on Github so make sure to diversify sources. Another way to find specific coding skills: research companies that use that coding language and headhunt from there.

**Meetup & conferences** - If you're looking for something specific (e.g., experience with an obscure coding language and/or passion for diversity, equity & inclusion (DE&I) topics, attend events where these individuals congregate, or even host one!
Job boards - create a careers page where candidates apply (you'll need an applicant tracking system) and advertise on relevant job boards.
<aside> 💡 For any job board, you'll ideally want to set up source tracking in your applicant tracking system (ATS) to measure whether it's converting to applicants. Job boards quickly become expensive time sucks if they're not generating great applicants.

Diversifying pipeline - As part of a larger diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) strategy, consider sponsoring organizations that champion individuals in communities that aren't well represented in your company.
