Meet Blockit: your instant, 24/7 AI time assistant. It’s different because — well — it actually works

Our Founding Story

Blockit’s founder, Kais Khimji, first conceived the idea for Blockit during his sophomore year at Harvard. Over the years, he made several attempts to bring it to life but, as a Canadian founder, often ran into visa and immigration hurdles that made building in the U.S. difficult. After graduating, Kais joined Sequoia Capital as an investor, but his conviction in solving the “world’s time” problem never faded.

In summer of 2023, he teamed up with John Han, a Stanford CS grad who had spent more than a decade as an engineer and worked at three different scheduling companies — Timeful (acquired by Google), Google Calendar, and Clockwise — before co-founding Blockit. Together, they’ve built a small, elite team of ten engineers and operators in San Francisco to finally bring the vision of a truly autonomous scheduling agent to life.

What Blockit does

Blockit learns your preferences and can autonomously coordinate meetings to any degree of complexity — time zones, large groups, in-person or remote — just like an executive assistant. The difference: Blockit never sleeps and responds instantly.

It’s the foundation of a massive network of AI scheduling agents orchestrating time across the world. Every calendar connected to Blockit strengthens the system’s intelligence, creating a global time graph that powers both personal productivity and enterprise coordination.

✈️ 10k Feet Objective

Our vision is for Blockit to be a single mega-brain pointed at the world’s time — the universal EA.

If successful, every calendar in the world will be spokes connected to the Blockit ‘hub’. We will dynamically orchestrate scheduling for everyone. Our strategy to achieve this is twofold:

1/ Build the ‘time graph’ network → give away prosumer scheduling widgets that require users to connect their calendars.

2/ Build an LLM EA on top of the network → this is a premium scheduling automation product ($500+/month) that replaces an assistant and leverages Blockit’s calendar network to find the perfect time for people to meet.

We believe the best (and only) analogies for this are LinkedIn and Tesla:
